Welcome!

We are one of the few trainers left who know and use the Genes England style of training. It was taught to us by the one and only Steve Leigh.

Yes I said fight......our K9 friends do not naturally have aggression towards their human companions.

They must be taught it is ok to fight them under certain situations!

Leash training is one of the simplest yet hardest things we can do.

I know what you are thinking.....doob you say...how can it be easy and hard at the same time? Simple really I have a ton of experience doing it so it is very simple for myself. The difficult part of leash training for myself is training the humane on what I want.Really that can be said for any type of behavior we are trying to accomplish. It is always the human who screws things up.

I will always try and do my best to convey what I am doing and why so I can teach you but sometimes I end up banging my head on the wall!

Lets start my correcting something in your English ..it is NOT a choke collar.....it is a correction collar and as it states it is used to make corrections in the behavior of the k9. Think of it as a attention geter!

We are not trying to choke the dog here ok? When I tell you to give him a pop...that means a very quick snap of the collar.It is going to make a metal on metal noise and that will be all we need in the future,right now we are going to create a few seconds of discomfort....again just to get the k9's attention.

So what I want you to start off walking with your dog and when I say to I want you to spin 180 degrees and give a slight pop to your k9 buddy there and tell him follow me or heel.We want him on our left side even or just slightly in front of you.See you are going this way and he the other way...what do you think will happen? Thats right he really has no choice but to follow you...neat how that happens right?After 15 minutes or so your k9 should be right with you now and paying attention to you and not every thing else going on around him.
